6:30 PM - 10:30 PM Parents will engage in an interactive workshop on how to build and maintain a close bond and rapport with their children to enable them to become balanced, responsible, self reliant, confident, grounded and independent young adults. The aim of the  workshop is to highlight skills to become your teenager’s friend and mentor in line with the Holy Prophet’s (SAW) Hadith.  At the end of the workshop parents will gain insight on how to connect with their children and not push them away, how to talk to their children so they listen ,and how to listen so our children can share their inner most feelings Featured Presenter: Br. Abbas Merali Br. Abbas has worked very closely in the area of teens, young adults and family based relationships having co-authored both the Heavenly Path series of books with his wife, and certified as a Parent Teen Coach with the Relationship Coaching Institute, USA. A WORKSHOP FOR RECENTLY MARRIED OR ENGAGED COUPLES

 

An interactive workshop for recently engaged and married (less than 5 yrs) couples starting their lives together.  The day will introduce couples to tools that will support early stages of marriage.  Topics include: reasons for marriage breakups, how marriages can be saved, the emotional change cycle, the communication cliché, role playing exercises, and advice on keeping your marital spark alive.
